This training workshop introduces our students to the fundamentals of Agile as applied to the Scrum Framework, so they can become successful Scrum Masters and effectively guide a team on Agile practices and iterative progression as they facilitate using scrum values and principles. In addition to becoming Scrum Masters, our students will be contributing to the Agile community.

All classes will be held virtually. The lectures will be delivered using PowerPoint presentation slides, practical illustrations, and real-world scenarios for students to follow along with.

Our educators are committed to your success. Unlike other learning institutions, you will be learning in a small group session and working directly with our instructors to prepare you for your Scrum Master opportunity

  • Total Number of Weeks to Completion: 8 weeks
  • Number of Hours per day 2 hours per day.
  • Number of Days per week 2 days per week.

Course Outline

  • Topic 1: Agile and Scrum Fundamentals Understand the foundation of Agile and Scrum concepts and how to help Scrum teams in using Scrum effectively
  • Topic 2: Terminologies and Concepts Acquire knowledge of Scrum terminologies, various concepts and the complete Scrum process
  • Topic 3: Scrum Roles and Responsibilities Understand the various roles involved in Scrum and the scope of the Scrum Master's role in Scrum.
  • Topic 4: Core Competencies Learn key Scrum Master core competencies and protect the team from internal and external distractions.
  • Topic 5: Scrum Ceremonies and Facilitation Facilitate the Development Team, Daily Scrum, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.
  • Topic 6: Techniques and Artifacts Product Backlog and Refinement Sessions, Sprint Backlog, Definition of Ready, Story Estimation, and User Stories
  • Topic 7: Topic 7: Improve Transparency and Act as a Servant leader1. Inspect, adapt, and increase transparency, metrics, and reporting. Overview of the burndown chart, release planning, and definition of "done" Industry Tools such as Jira, TFS, Confluence etc.
